Please note that - with the exception of residence permits for the purpose of ensuring family cohabitation - if the foreigner does not enter Hungary within 3 months of the date of issue of the residence permit and does not commence his/her authorised stay, the residence permit will be declared invalid and the right of entry and stay will cease. For this reason, please do not submit your application more than 2-3 months before the date of your intended entry.
